They don’t “need” access for Scoutbook to function. In the end, it is a parent choice. At one point, we had two parents choose to not give their Scout’s access.

I have 5 scouts in out of 50 and we are communicting using tropptrack which is confusing and frustrating. We do not want to operate out of two systems. We also have registration costs for trooptrack coming up and do not want to pay for another year. So the faster we can transition, the better. Scoutbook is working for everything else, but the scouts cannot log into the scouting app or use SB to send emails both of which are critical.
Just Tested = Scouts can go to my.scouting.org - click left side “Create Account” - enter in info, match up to them, make a username, use that to sign into Scoutbook
