How to add an activity that is not hosted by a unit?

I recently became the advancement chair of our unit. There are several activities in Scoutbook that have been added as “unit hosted” activities that were not hosted by our troop. These are scouts’ individual service hours that did not include other scouts but they are showing as unit hosted. Things like volunteering at the library or trail cleanup. In my mind a unit hosted event should be something that is open to everyone in the unit to participate in, not an activity for one individual.

How do I change these activities to reflect as individual instead of unit hosted? Moving forward how do I (as Advancement Chair) enter individual activity hours for a scout without them showing as unit hosted?

I think once approved - it shows as unit - it is individual if not approved.

I have a few I entered (before I was Advancement Chair) for my child that do not show as unit hosted. That was before I was chair. I want to make sure that if I were enter more things for him, that he is doing individually, that it does not reflect as unit hosted. I do not want scouts to think we had activities planned that were not open to the whole troop.

@JessicaWilhelm are those individual ones approved? Might have been a unit leader entered them vs the Scout or a just parent entering them. BUT the unit designation vs Private really makes no difference if they are both approved.

Here is an example from my son’s. The Klondike was an actual unit hosted event, but most of our unit hosted activities were not recorded for the last two years. I added Klondike (before I was chair, just a parent) for my son. Then I added the Hidden Valley one, after I was chair. They both show that they were approved. I am starting to work backwards to make sure all the scouts get credit for unit hosted activities for the past two years. There are several activities that were recorded as unit events that only had one scout. I just want to make sure if I add something for my own scout that is individual it won’t show up as unit hosted. It sounds anal, but I try really hard to be fair and don’t want individual hiking/camping/service popping up as unit hosted.

@JessicaWilhelm- it literally does not matter what it is noted as. I would only be concerned that the totals are accurate. I can say that nobody has even noticed that icon in the years since the logs were migrated to sb+. Beyond that youth can not see the log entries other than their own
