In our troop, when scouts are represented by clickable icons in public areas, such as event rsvp pages, each scout’s first name and last initial appears below a generic icon. Except our scout. Her first name and full last name appears. How do we change that so that her last initial appears instead of her full last name?

That’s because you are the parent. As a parent (or connected leader), you see your scout’s full last name. Everyone else sees for your scout what you see for theirs.
