How to remove Merit Badges that were opened or "started" but the Scout is no longer working on them

All the previous forums that show going into the Scout’s Merit Badges in Scoutbook Legacy to remove any unwanted or incorrect merit badges does not work anymore, the option is not there.

What is the new process to remove Merit Badges in Scoutbook Plus?

@BrianTrimpey started MBs do not effect the scout - there is no way to remove in SB+ - there is a story to make it more user driven to Start an MB, so they do not just start.

Understand that, but try telling youth not to click on start a Merit Badge when they are just looking at the requirements to see if they are interested in earning the badge. They don’t understand that you need to go to the References section to look at Merit Badge requirements.

We have had scouts with SEVERAL “open” now “pending” merit badges because they were trying to see what they wanted to take for summer camp or work on over the summer and now that is going to mess with our reporting and cause several issues when trying to figure out what the scouts actually need to focus on.

Is this ever going to be an option or is it just another part of Scoutbook Plus so called enhancements?

There is a story to only Open a MB when: An MBC is assign, OR a Comment is made, OR a Requirement is complete.

@BrianTrimpey - I have tested opening a merit badge in plus on a scout profile and the act of opening it did not add it to the pending list. If I put a comment in then it was in pending. Mind you this is as Committee Chair. I think the same would apply if a scout did the same thing and not enter any comments or other actions.

@BrianTrimpey

There is no harm to a Scout having a MB listed as started or pending that they never intend to work on or complete.
