I’ve got some scouts who are in both Crew and Troop.
I want to log the service hours they do in Troop as service hours in Crew as well in order to fulfill the ranking requirements. The scouts don’t need more service hours in the troop for any ranking purpose. But this was a troop organized event. Crew advancement has a requirement 1/2 should be crew planned and the other half doesn’t need to be.
I’m just wondering how one does this in Scoutbook because the scouts are going to advance through Troop to Eagle rank. But since they’re concurrently registered I don’t want to penalize and make their service requirements harder in crew either so I want to double count for the ones that don’t need it for troop advancement.
Our plan is to help keep scouts in scouting by inviting them to join crew while they’re in scouting. Is the only way to do it just to log it twice? I now log it in Troop advancement records. But I’m afraid if I log it also in Crew records then when I select the (count those in other troops/crews) then it will double count. But I also want them to show up in crew reports because eventually they WILL eagle out and be primarily in crew.
