Imbedding Calendar in Google Site

I have tried to imbed the scoutbook calendar into my packs googlesite page and it will not imbed. I get the following from sites.google.com
“The URL you entered is not supported.”

Do you have any other guidance for me?

Joy - what we did is to use the ICS in the unit g-cal. If you go to www.scouting33.org then click on either the troop or pack you will see how it works.

Can you tell me what a "unit g-cal is and how to create this?

Joy - our pack and troop have their own google accounts so with that comes the calendar. I subscribed to the respective scoutbook calendar via each account.

I tried to subscribe from my phone and it only adds it to my outlook account, not my gmail account.

Joy - you log into your google account on a pc then subscribe from there.

You can only add a calendar using a link if the other person’s calendar is public.

  1. On a computer, open Calendar.
  2. Next to “Other calendars” on the left, click the Down arrow Down Arrow.
  3. Select Add by URL .
  4. Enter the calendar’s address in the field provided. The address needs to be an ICAL link.
  5. Click Add Calendar . The calendar will appear on the left side under “Other calendars.”

Note: It might take up to 12 hours for changes to show in your Google Calendar.
