Bug Fixes

  • Cub Scout Advancement
    • The COVID exception that allowed parents to approve Cub Scout advancement in Scoutbook has ended. All Cub Scout advancement will once again need to be approved by a registered leader. Parents who are not leaders will not longer see the Leader Approved check box.
  • Eagle Palms
    • An issue that prevented Eagle Palms from being completed has been fixed. Eagle Palms have the following restrictions.
      1. Eagle Rank must be approved in Scoutbook before Eagle Palms can be completed.
      2. If earned with Eagle, the completion date must be the same as the Eagle Board of Review date as recorded in Scoutbook.
      3. An Eagle Palm earned after Eagle must be either 3 months after the Eagle Board of Review or 3 months after he last completed Eagle Palm, whichever is later.
  • Merit Badge Upload (Council Admins Only)
    • An issue that prevented partial Merit Badges from being updated when included in the Merit Badge Upload file (Council Admins Only) has been fixed,

New Features

  • Edit Profile
    • The member’s middle name is now displayed on the Internet Advancement based Edit Profile page
    • Address Line 1 now looks up addresses in real time as the address is entered. If the desired address is found, click on the address to select. If necessary, city, state and zip code will be updated to match the selected address.
  • Forgot Password/Username
    • The Forgot Password/Username link will now direct the user to the my.scouting.org Forgot Password page.
  • Religious Knot
    • The Religious Knot has been added to the Quick Entry Awards page.
  • SB UserID & BSA Member ID Display
    • Scoutbook will now display the member’s Scoutbook User ID and BSA Member ID values on the My Account page for the logged in member and the Scout’s or Adult’s page for other members.
