Member ID issues? Error blocks Renewal

When trying to renew Member ID: 140508319 (REMOVED)

clicking after electronic signature (to pay) leads to blocking error:

“Something went wrong
Error Code: M400, Message: Error: The following ids are already used in BSA Orders - fkPersonPositionId(s): 169120320,169120319”

repeated error on all devices since several weeks.

(TAC Council)Unit Commissioner and District Executive unable to resolve issue.

Member Expiration Date: 9/30/2025

@PaulettaStiessberger - there is nobody on the forums that supports my.scouting.org. You will need to work with council to submit a member care ticket. First guess is that someone else initiated renewals based on other position that you hold.

Is this for the Pack or the Troop - if it is the pack I bet it is all the Opt Outs - they might be hitting the troop also

But I don’t know why I’m registered so many times ? I actually don’t want to renew with T21, only with Pack147; I don’t know why there’s an extra reg for Edelweis04. I am also NOT COR, but Cubmaster.

In any case, I just tried OPTing IN to my roles and RENEW, but it still has the same error

Likely, your pack registered you in different positions at different times, and instead of terminating all but one, the council registrar left them all active. I kinda suspect it’s going to take the TAC registrar ending the superfluous pack positions to straighten things out. Only the COR can be registered in more than one position in the same unit, and only as either a MC or CC, in addition to COR.

Your COR must have assigned you as the COR Delegate, which is a functional role rather than a registered position. It allows you to manage registered positions for scouters in your unit rather than needing the COR themself to take action on the matter.

I don’t know if you can use the fact that you’re the COR Delegate to end the superfluous positions in the pack yourself (ADL, MC).

It’s a merit badge counselor registration, which is typically either under the district or the council, since MBC isn’t a unit position. My MBC registration, for example, lists my council name, even though I’m a unit scouter.

Somehow, all my associations and registration with Pack147 are no longer showing

It appears to me that the problem stems from the Multiple Applications option that links me with Pack147 from Troop21. That’s where those IDs in the error message link to. Unfortunately, the system has now ended my membership and flushed my links to my Pack

@PaulettaStiessberger - well an opt-out is telling the system you are done with that registration.

well, I opted IN to everything but it still didn’t allow me to renew my membership. It won’t let me Check out (provide payment info) after the digital signature. I think no one is now working on this, though escalated to TAC / Edelweiss and my Comm Chair. So now my Scouting membership has expired and I am no longer associated with my Pack, which is not a good thing as I am Cubmaster

@PaulettaStiessberger - as it has been stated MANY times you need to work with your council registrar on this as there is nobody on the forums who can assist you.
