While performing a records review on several of the scouts in our troop I noticed that the completion dates for some of the requirements had disappeared. I compared the information for the various merit badges against and Incomplete Requirements Report I ran about six months ago which indicated that the requirements had been completed. Has anyone else encountered this same issue?

Any thoughts as to why these are missing or how we can recover them would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for that tip. I went back and looked at the 2018 version and his completions were there. It is a little confusing though when the parent’s look at their scout’s advancement record and it indicates that he hasn’t done anything, especially if they don’t understand that there are various revisions to each merit badge.

Where are the parents seeing the current version rather than the version the scout is actually working on?
From their original email, I’m assuming they were looking at his record in Scoutbook. I’m not too sure if it was the desktop or on the mobile app. But I got the same results when I looked at his records on the desktop version. It defaulted to the 2024 version of the Camping merit badge and he started the merit badge under the 2018 version. Additionally, when I pulled up his advancement screen it indicated that he had started the merit badge but the graphic indicated 0%,
Once you toggled it back to 2018, it should stay there for anyone who looks at it. Are you seeing otherwise?
Now that I have toggled back to that year I am able to see it every time I open his records. Thank you for your assistance with this issue.
