Trying to move my son (140664640) from his Cub Scout Pack to his new Troop. Under the Transfer/Multiple Applications tab, there is no button that says “TRANSFER” like it is shown in the help documents. Any ideas on how to get it to work?
Thanks!

It might be too new - did you just renew for the pack?

@KathleenOjeda I think the issue might be with the pack’s unit renewal. Please contact the local council for assistance.

@DonovanMcNeil Don’t think it is too new.

@JenniferOlinger I’ll look into that. Thanks!

Possibly similar issue - my child was just awarded AOL in SB and I can see her advancement recorded in SB, but she doesn’t show up under My Applications to transfer. @JenniferOlinger child is in Council B and my primary SB BSA ID Is in Council A; do I need to make Council B my ‘primary’ for the purpose of initiating the transfer?

Chrome, desktop, Mac OS
Child: 136460395, Cradle of Liberty Council
Me: 136671536 Primary, Chester County Council
Me: 136458237, Cradle of Liberty Council

@Lithigin just go to Manage Member ID in My.scouting.org > change to the other MID As Primary > Log out and back in and it should work > then you can reverse the process to get back to the other MID if needed

I just did that then came back here - I see her in Transfer now but Troop 0050 and 50 do not show up (Chester County), whereas I do see 0284 (in council) as an option.

All out-of-council documentation I find links to this 2022 doc: https://help.scoutbook.scouting.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Online-transfer-between-councils.pdf

If I recall right you have to go to beascout to do an out of council transfer

I’ve never heard of Be a Scout, but this did work, thank you!

FWIW, the instructions in the linked PDF say “With any online application a parent starts by logging in to My.Scouting.org. This example screen shot is where BeAScout would redirect a parent.”

This sounded to me like I would start from my.scouting.org which I am very familiar with, and which does not seem to work.
If the instructions were to be rewritten, I would suggest a reword to

  1. First go to Beascout (should be linked), then include the 2nd screen shot from instructions with the Youth box and clicking Start, include subsequent screen shots

The last line “The transfer process is completed” should probably be changed to “initiated” with a note about how many days it should take to be completed.

Trying to move my son (136852269) from his Cub Scout Pack to his new Troo. Under the Transfer/Multiple Applications tab, there is no button that says “TRANSFER” like it is shown in the help documents, also my self too (Member ID: 13577796). Any ideas on how to get it to work?
Thanks

@KarinaHuerta_Hernand not sure what help doc you are looking at. Could be because the Pack has not started their unit renewal - I suggest talking to your councils registrar
