I have three member IDs. My YPT is associated with my Primary ID but I received an email from scouting.org saying that my YPT training is expired. I retook YPT on April 26, 2023. Below are my member IDs. The email said to make sure the training was reflected on all my IDs but I don’t know how to do that. Is there a way to eliminate the previous ID’s?
136724950 - Primary
134708134 - Previous
13456492 - ?
Thanks,

Your registered MID is 134708134. I have set it as primary on your my.scouting.org ID. I have added your other two MIDs as secondary. MIDs can’t be retired, they can only be managed. I have also put MID 134708134 on your Scoutbook account.
Your YPT should copy from MID 136724950 to 134708134 within 24 hours.
@AndrewJamison I would recommend contacting your local council and ask them to use their Registrar Tools to look up your children. In the “Relationships” section, they should make sure that you are listed there as parent only under BSA member number 134708134. They should remove you as parent if listed under other numbers. Otherwise, your primary BSA member number might get switched at the next Recharter.
I seem to be having another issue with multiple Member ID’s. We have created a new Unit, Troop 1219 G, Cape Fear Council 425, and when I was invited to Scout book for the new unit, one of my previous member ID’s was used. Now when I log in with my primary MID, it doesn’t recognize me under my Primary MID.
I also removed the two previous MID’s from Scout book, not remembering that they cannot be deleted (unless that has changed). I was able to add one of them back but the got an error on the other.
136724950 - Primary
134708134 - Previous (Removed from MyScouting on 12/2/2024 but can’t add it back because it says MID does not match existing user profile)
13456492 - ? (Removed from MyScouting on 12/2/2024 and added back on 12/3/2024)
@AndrewJamison I have merged your Scoutbook accounts. You will need to wait for an overnight process to run, but you should have full access tomorrow.
I found 5 BSA member ID numbers for you, and your parent / child “relationships” are split among them.
Please contact your local council and ask them to use their Registrar Tools to look up your children. In the “Relationships” tab / section, you need to be removed as parent under your secondary BSA member ID numbers. You should be listed as parent only under your primary BSA member ID number, the one ending in -134. This will help to prevent future issues.
Jennifer, Thank you for your response. I will reach out to council for assistance. The Primary BSA Member ID you listed ending in -134 is not the one that I have been using. I thought my primary was 136724950. This is obviously very confusing and I’m not sure how I got 5 ID’s so I just want to confirm the -134 is the correct primary and all my training will be associated with that ID.
Thanks again for your help!
That is the one with your registered positions in Cape Fear Council and now has all of your training, too.
Thank you. I have asked Council to change my child relationships so hopefully that will fix it.
Thanks!
