I have a parent who has stepped up to be a leader. He submitted the leader application which came through as Member ID 140305845 and he completed his YPT on his parent account which is Member ID 14440371. I cannot accept his application because it says YPT never taken. Is this a scenario where he needs merging of accounts?
has the parent log into my.scouting.org > Click Manage Member ID > one of the BSA # will be there marked PRIMARY > then add the other MID (BSA #) - you want to make the one that is your unit registration PRIMARY > all training will merge to primary
I am applying to be a leader to troop 982. I took YPT in April of this year. How do I print the YTP certificate to show I took it?
@MelvinDodson go to my.scouting.org > My Training > YPT Section there is a print certificate button
The parent reports he cannot combine the accounts or add the account due to a mismatch in personal info. Can it be forced?
Then he accidentally withdrew his application. Can it be reactivated?
Post the BSA Member ID (no names). Usually when an individual can’t add secondary MIDs to a my.scouting.org ID it is because of a name or DOB mismatch between the MIDs and the my.scouting.org ID.
The member ids are in the original post: 140305845 and 14440371. One account has his full first name and the other is abbreviated.
@JasonRoma let me look at it for you
@JasonRoma there is YPT on both MIDs within days of each other - I will send you a direct message > look at top right Avatar to find it > it will be a green dot with a number 1 > it will be a private message channel with select members of the Scoutbook User Advisory Council (SUAC)
I have similar issue. Volunteered to be a leader, was told to do den leader training and YPT so I did both under my existing My.scouting account. All of YPT is complete yet the main page still a month later says never taken, though when I actually click on the course it says 100% complete. But it doesn’t show an active YPT for me. I don’t have a second ID number yet bc I just submitted my paper application to be a leader. No one seems to know what to do for my YPT to show as complete and active!
@SharonMartinez1 It looks like you took SCO_3008 Overview and Policies too long ago . All 4 YPT modules have to be taken within 60 days in order to get credit for Y01 Youth Protection Training.
Please try taking SCO_3008 again.
