We have a few users who are stuck in Position manager both in the registered roles and functional roles. I am Cubmaster and I’ve also had our COR Delegate attempt to change but we have not had success. There are a few quirks so i’ll list them individually.
Functional Roles
2 COR and CC are getting auto listed as Key 3 Delegates, which are unnecessary and block our ability to add other Key 3 delegates
Last Years Registration Inquiry cannot be removed. we get “NOT FOUND” at the top of the screen when attempting.
Registered Roles
A Den Leader from last year cannot be removed
Last years CC cannot be removed
Last years COR cannot be removed from Executive Officer so that new COR can be listed
I wanted to list this out and see if there are any issues to note before dropping in BSA IDs which i can do if thats the right step.
It is hard to say without seeing the behavior - but council should be able to help there as well - issue with Registered is the person is paid and BSA has to honor the tenure - so some councils have ghost units to add them to
I have something similar.
We moved someone from Assistant Scoutmaster to Committee Member, but they are stuck in both places under Position Manager.
They are also now stuck as Committee Member and Unit Scouter Reserve.
Well, you can’t register in two positions, but based on some timing the system allows grace periods where it actually does appear you are holding two conflicting roles. So, the timing, if someone can recall, could be helpful in troubleshooting.
@mitchelr It looks like they are still stuck there today.
I recommend contacting your local council and see if they can end one of the positions. If they can’t, ask them to submit a help ticket on your behalf.
