My son is a First Class ID:134222120
He is no where to be found on Scoutbook by our Scoutmaster and Finance Secretary.
I can see him in my Scouting App and also in my Scout Book Plus. When I try to add my relationship, I get an error message. What am I doing wrong?
@GeraldCerdan1 The Scout’s registration is expired and outside of the grace period.
The other parent already has the parent-child relationship with the Scout. She can create a username (login) at my.Scouting and use the online registration to re-register the Scout using his already existing member ID number. Alternatively, you can use a paper application. If you use a paper application, be sure you include the Scout’s member ID number, so that a new one is not created.
@GeraldCerdan1 Correction: The other parent already has a login at my.Scouting using a hyphenated last name.
As far as I know, I am only the parent who has a parent-son relationship.
@GeraldCerdan1 You have a connection to the Scout in Scoutbook, but what I am talking about are the relationships that are in my.Scouting.
G.D.-C. has the parent-child relationship that is needed to re-register the Scout.
You might need to your local council to assist.
Ok, if my wife can access her account, can she renew from her side?
@GeraldCerdan1 Sort of.
Because your son’s membership is expired / lapsed and outside of the grace period, she will need to re-register him using the troop’s link at beascout.org. When she re-registers him, she will want to use his already existing member ID number, not create a new one.
If she needs help resetting her password, the Scoutly chatbot should be able to help her. She needs to use her member ID number: 134222121. The local council also has the ability to reset passwords, if needed.
