In the last month or so, all new events that have been added to Scout Book Plus Calendar, are not syncing to the calendar link that connects to phones, and google calendar. We have tried adding events with Key 3 Accounts, Legacy Accounts, and tested all kinds of different variables within the creation of events itself. Trial and Error, over and over again. We have also deleted calendar from devices and re-added the link to no avail.
@GarrettHay - on your events are you entering the description text using the native editor or are you copy pasting from some other text editor ?
You can also get the ics file to see if the events are there.
Using the native text editor. And the events are indeed showing up in the ics file. But they still are not syncing across the board to all of our Troop Members.
What if they unsubscribe and resubscribe to the URL ICS at SB+?
Tested it. Not working on multiple devices.

Only other information is that I have created the majority of these myself. I was Scoutmaster, and had Legacy Scout Book Admin. Keys. Now I am an ASM, but I got a bunch of permissions assigned to me after the change. However, I do not think this is the reason, because Key 3 people with unlimited permissions are creating the events and it’s still failing.
@GarrettHay looking at it - First guess is Description length is breaking the Subscription - long descriptions can do that. Change the Pancake to TBD (like the others I see have) and see if it solves it. For ICS you would have to wait 24 hours, or unsubscribe and then resubscribe
@GarrettHay - when you re-subscribe you fall back to the 24 hour sync. There is no immediate population and there never has been.

@GarrettHay - I added two test events one on the 22nd and one this coming Saturday in scoutbook and they are on our Google calendar this morning. The sync is working so not a Google or scoutbook issue. It is how your unit is entering the description text and what is in that text.
Are we saying that cleaning up the description on ALL events is what is causing future events to not populate? Or just any new events that we create need to have the description dialed down?
@GarrettHay - what folks have done on the other threads is to clean up the event descriptions starting at the point where the sync stopped. So if events where in sync on June 15th but stopped after the events after that date would need to be examined. Look for characters that differ in the ics file like / \ or others that are not in the working events.
I have done all of this and it’s still not working. We have majorly cleaned up descriptions and deleted a bunch of old events that never showed up on the ics link. Put in barebones test events. No success!
@GarrettHay - if you just subscribed it will take 12 to 24 hours for anything to be listed.
I would also suggest NOT doing a copy paste into the description box. Just use the native formatting tools that are there. It may well be that you have to remove and re add events starting from the point of failure
No luck so far. I know this software like the back of my hand. I am even in the youth membership business for sports. Crazy how this is only happening for Troop 1 but not you guys when you create events.
But some events show in the future as I see your ICS, it is just some in the middle do not. Right? You cannot isolate to a date of after 3/2/26 we see nothing.
Some in the middle and some in the future do not. For example, we have an Eagle Court of Honor on October 17th and a Pancake Breakfast on November 14th. All not showing. I did discover that there were quite a few events in the middle not showing. It just took us three months to catch this! Do you think I should try deleting the whole calendar for 2026?!
@GarrettHay - how are the event descriptions and other data being entered for each event ?
