New leads bounce back for reassignment too quickly

FEATURE REQUEST: I want a “we are working on it” status for Leads (and new Applications)****

When we get leads, we typically reach out to the family to educate them on the program and confirm they want to sign up. We do this outside of the my.scouting tool because it is not designed to handle communications back and forth with the lead.

It seems like leads get automatically updated to “Pending Reassignment” within a week or 2. E.g. I had a lead come in less than 2 weeks ago, I reached out to the parent and haven’t heard back, now they are “pending reassignment”

The only options are to close or complete the lead, which is non intuitive. We are probably going to close them and add to a separate tracker to maintain communications.

Overall this process is clunky/difficult (no surprise, Scouting America…). I think this feature request would help.
