Newly renewed scouts getting messages that they will expire in 15 days

Our members that have been renewed (within the last 2 months) are receiving messages that they need to renew or their account will expire in 15 days. Scoutbook has them showing as renewed.

I would check the official roster at my.scouting, since it sounds like there’s something on the back end of a non-Scoutbook system (my.scouting? AKELA database?) that’s generating the renewal messages. If they’re showing as current there, you likely need to reach out to the council registrar to either correct their status or submit a MemberCare ticket to national about the issue. Although the SUAC may be able to help investigate, they can’t report issues with the my.scouting or registration systems. That has to go through council staff.

Also as Donovan suggested, you could post a couple of the Scouting America Member IDs (no names please!) for the affected scouts and one of the SUAC could look into it.

Thank you - these are the three members of our unit that received emails & texts about expiring in 15 day. All three were renewed over the summer and SB+ reflects that they are current.

Ok, I personally renewed the mom last month and our unit renewal renewed her committee position last February. This mom and the two scouts are part of our girls unit, but last October we entered into a pilot for a co-ed program. The mom and the scouts were added to the boys unit’s roster- could this be their girls unit roster expiring - I mean that would make a lot of sense. I could call council and have them look, I do not have access to the roster for the girls unit. I will call council tomorrow - thanks!
