Desktop, windows, firefox, cache cleared. I am the scoutmaster but do not have the organizational security manager tab showing up nor can I change functional positions. Appreciate any steers that can be provided.

Are you showing SM as your registered position at my.scouting? If not, that’s likely the issue.
How long have you been SM?
ETA: Actually, there’s another possibility that I forgot about. Have you selected your unit in the pull-down menu at the bottom of the left side menu? That was a change this year (I think?) that trips a lot of us up regularly.

Thanks for the quick response. I am showing Scoutmaster as my registered position along with Merit Badge Counselor. I have been Scoutmaster since early August. With Troop 654 selected I show Organization manager but not Organization Security Manager , and as stated previously I cannot modify functional positions.

Hrm…Aha! It’s called Position Manager now, and it’s “hidden” under Organization Manager (at least on my phone).
At the top of Organization Manager is a “Troop ### Menu” button (that doesn’t look like a button to me, but it is!). I clicked on that, and it offered me Position Manager as an option. Then, select Functional Roles in the resulting window.
Does that get you there?

I get there but wverything is greyed out and i cant change it.

Have you posted your recharter? I think that the position manager has been locked when charters are posted in the past.
Also, did you try what @JenniferOlinger suggested above?
For the organizational Security manager, I thought only the COR could make changes. So, seeing it, but not being able to do anything could be right. No?
No, Key 3 and K3D can rearrange the functional roles (except COR Delegate).
I was told the key 3 could make changes. If this is not the case that is fine but there really should be documentation that explains that and why it is so.

@JustinArgentieri - as Committee Chair here is what I see in the functional roles section:
I can click on the add or minus to change people in the roles. Is that not working for you I gather. One other question: what browser are you using to do this. Is on mobile or pc based ?
Appreciate all of the help i see the same screen but everything is greyed out and i cant pull someone out or put them in. Im using firefox on a pc.

As Scoutmaster, you should be able to change most of the Functional Roles (except for the COR/CUR Delegate).
@JustinArgentieri Were you previously in 2 other councils?
I think you also have multiple BSA member ID numbers and also more than one Scoutbook.
So what do i need to do first and who do i need to ask please?

@JustinArgentieri You should be all fixed up now. However, you might need to wait overnight for everything to sync up properly.
As Scoutmaster, you should have access to the Position Manager, which should allow you to change most of the Functional Roles. (However, the COR/CUR Delegate functional role can only be changed by the COR or CUR.)

@JustinArgentieri When you get the chance, please log in at my.Scouting and double-check your e-mail address there. You had 2 different e-mail addresses in the system.
