Hello! This forum has always been so quick and helpful, I thought I would start here first. I have a parent who is trying to register a new Cub Scout and they accidentally entered the Cub’s info instead of their own in the parent/guardian setup. They aren’t able to change it and can’t proceed until it’s fixed. The member ID is 142579277 and I have mom’s correct name and birthdate. Thank you!
@ErinBrown simplest might be for them to just start over. Otherwise Council would have to fix it all. I bet a simple start over will be easier. Actually the system MIGHT find the mid for the scout and then they have a log in for the scout
@ErinBrown The mom needs to create a username (login) for herself at my.Scouting.org using her own name and date of birth. The Cub Scout does not need a username.
Will it allow her to make a new account using the same email address? She fully made her account and then realized that she had entered all of her child’s info where it was meant to be hers. So she has a login and everything, just not with the correct name, etc.
That is what she did, but she entered her child’s name and birthdate instead of her own. She just wants to update it, but that isn’t possible from her end.
Your Council can change the name and DOB, we cannot.
Thanks. I stopped by council and they don’t know how to do it, so hopefully they can escalate it to national to fix!
They should be able to use Registrar Tools to fix it.
