My Den leader is telling me that he cannot edit advancement of his son who is in his den. I have looked in Scoutbook Legacy and the parent is listed as the adult leader as well as parent. He is also listed as the Adult leader in the Den Roster on Scoutbook Plus.
When is the last time he tried? There was a fix for an issue that affected den leaders released tonight.
Probably not tonight… but I will ask. Thank you!
No it is still not working. Everyone in his den has a column for a Complete and Approve check boxes EXCEPT for his son, which just has the Complete column of check boxes. He is listed as a Leader and Den Admin for that Den. In scoutbook legacy I have added FULL permissions to his son in the connection manager and he is listed as Den Admin and Den Leader there as well.
His son
Everyone else
Does he have the Den Leader role selected in the upper right corner?
It would be helpful if the Den Leader posted here so we can help him directly.
@RobertWiseman or provide the DLs MID to us.
I tried it this morning. The pictures are from today
@JoshuaSteffen have you tried a Shift + Refresh?
I think figured it out, It was letting me update the rest of the den under Parent /Guardian connection, but when I changed the role to Den Admin, it allows my son to be updated too. It defaults to Parent / Guardian each time I log in.
so if you had Parent selected you could do all BUT yours?
hmmmmm - but how did you see the Roster?
Were you navigating from SB to SB+?
Yeah as a DL I would just navigate within SB+
I’m having the same issue. When did the fix go into effect? All of our den leader’s kids did not receive awards at our Pack meeting because the awards chair didn’t have any of those Scouts marked as approved even though the den leaders did put their child in with the rest of their den and marked them as approved.
I am one of the den leaders and also committee chair, so I can literally approve everyone except my own child.
This might be causing some challenges. SB+ relies on the registered role. Which role are you actually registered in according to my.scouting?
