I have 2 parents of the same scout who each have 2 different BSA numbers Can one of the admins here help combine them for me? I know in the past you guys were awsome about fixing these little glitches
@DavidLafko SUAC cannot combine Member IDs. We can merge different SB Users, but that does not effect Member IDs.
the user can log into my.scouting.org > Click Manage Member ID > one of the BSA # will be there marked PRIMARY > as long as the info is the same then add the other MID (BSA #) - you want to make the one that is your unit registration PRIMARY. If it fails SUAC can help as all the personal Info has to match. Another complication with this is the Parent relationship for registrations with is tied to Member ID - it is best to ask Council to also check that.
There is also now an option for the user to Merge MIDs there themself.
As of now SUAC does not recommend merging MIDs.
ok Can we Private message for this I can give you more specific and see what your thought i.
We can if you want. But multiple MIDs do not really effect users if just parents unless the relationship to scouts are messed up
yes please but i don’t know how to send you a PM LOL
I will send you a direct message > look at top right Avatar to find it > it will be a green envelope > it will be a private message channel with select members of the Scoutbook User Advisory Council (SUAC)
