MID (*removed by Moderator*) (Troop 562)
CC gave me Unit Support role. SM verified Activity Permission. I can see expected permissions in my Profile, but I’m unable to do several expected actions while the correct Troop Committee role is selected.
Most importantly, I can’t create Activities or edit Activity Logs. But I’ve seen other unexpected behavior in Reports (custom report builder reports unavailable), can’t assign MBC to Scouts I don’t have a parent/guardian relationship to, etc.
Appreciate any troubleshooting advice or other insight. Thanks!
@RyanTashma Well you have no permissions to assign MBCs - that is all advancement and you have no Advancement permissions.
A major focus of the migration to Scoutbook Plus is to have positions mirror the positions shown in My.Scouting to ensure positions were reflected accurately in both platforms. The main purpose it to honor the guidance of our charter organizations and the positions they approve. Therefore, Scoutbook Plus does not use Legacy Scoutbook positions. Registered positions are used to provide base permissions. Some additional permissions can be added by the unit, however, there are restrictions on what can be given. @DonovanMcNeil, I am seeing a number of folks in my Council having issues with being able to create or update activity logs. They are properly registered in the unit, and have had the Activity permission assigned for more than a few days. They have cleared cashe, used incognito browsers, and verified they are approaching the logs as a leader rather than a parent. Any ideas would be greatly apricated. Commenting here as it looks like the same thing and I am wondering what you found on the share. The person I am working with now is having issues logging into the forums to post, getting an unauthorized action error.
@JasonCostarakis I would first post a few samples (member # no names) for use to look at. @JasonCostarakis the person you are working with now sounds like they are not using the correct login for their account which could explain it all.
@DonovanMcNeil they are logging into scoutbook and my.scouting just fine, erroring on trying to log into the forums. SDIC49 T790B mid135299947 verified using chrome and incognito
And they are trying to do activities for the Male Troop? Have you seen them log in and it fail first hand?
