Welcome! This forum has a treasure trove of great info – Scouters helping Scouters! Just a heads up, though - all content, information, and opinions shared on this forum are those of the author, not the BSA.
Observe: The report us named “Multiunit advancement report
Observe: There is no data in csv beyond the Headers
Expected: Report is run for only the current unit selected in Scoutbook Plus
Expected: Report contains full advancement history detail for all active scouts in unit
Question: Is there a way to create the advancement report elsewhere in custom reports?
@RichardBlaalid There is no Quick Report - Advancements - do you mean the “Advancement Report” under Quick Report? Cause the CSV statement does not make sense.
Advancement reports are for Scout Shops and are found with Purchase Orders under “To Purchase” section
@DonovanMcNeil yes I am talking about the Advancement report under the Reports>Quick Export section
I am looking for our full advancement history for active scouts. I have a report from a few weeks ago that contained this data, but now I am getting the “multiunit” automatically and the data is empty.
The previous export had a full history of every approved requirement for ranks and merit badges, as well as awards history for all active scouts.
I saw this issue happen after I was added to a second unit as a leader. So now it lists as multiunit in the file name, but does not provide an option for just an export of 1 of the unit’s data. And now it’s empty. I am wondering if this is a bug due to mutliunit access.
Does your export contain the full advancement history? (The empty file headers are what I expect, just no data gets added to file)
The issue appears related to inadequate role permissions in one of the troops. Unless something else was fixed. I now have correct permissions in both troops.
@DonovanMcNeil As of testing today the quick export for advancements only exports the selected troop data and not empty “Multiunit” like it was. The only change on my side was updating role permissions for one of the troops.
