We have a scout who has started adding his own information into the Internet Advancement system, like hiking-camping-service hours, but also an award and a merit badge. My understanding was that scouts should record their info on Scoutbook, not Internet Advancement. Does the scout have the ability to self-award? Until I approve the information in Internet Advancement, everything is listed as “pending”, which is how we realized this scout had already input a merit badge which he hadn’t officially completed until he met with the merit badge counselor. Where is the correct place for a scout to record their information. Thanks.
It is the same system (Scoutbook and IA). Scouts can enter as (Completed/Pending).
