The scout camp we are sending our Troop to is requiring a separate Blue card for every merit badge that will be earned this summer. It’s a large troop (~100 boys) so I need to generate 250 blue cards. When I go into scoutbook, I don’t see how to generate blue cards for MBs that the boys haven’t started at all yet. The only options that I can select are a few where some (but not all) of the requirements are marked complete. Is there a way to force SB to generate the blue cards I need, without having to mark each boy as having started the badge? I’m trying to do as little data entry as possible, given the large number of cards involved. In case it matters, I am the registered Advancement Chair for our troop. Thanks for your help! Matthew
@MatthewBenham - what camp is that so that I know to never have our scouts go there.
The closest you will get to your task is here in the troop menu in scoutbook.scouting.org
You will have to start the merit badges in scoutbook.scouting.org in order to have a list populated.
There is also a bulk print in advancements.scouting.org but again the merit badges have to be started
Think now in SB+ - the print BC does start a MB for a scout which it is not started
@DonovanMcNeil - I just tried that for an MB that none of my scouts have started and it returns no data. The bulk print needs to have the MB in the scout record.

Will say - the request from a camp seems odd - give us all this paper we have to organize as opposed to giving you a print out from our system
When our camp required Blue Cards, we had a “signing party” where the SM and ASMs signed stacks of cards for camp. The camp also wanted our site and troop number written on the top so we did that. We then handed the Scouts blank blue cards and had them fill in the rest. One year we had to do over 200 cards. Using this method didn’t take long.
In addition to the signing party idea… which I have done a few times, and generally only takes 10-20 minutes… you should also check your camps registration system. Many of them have the ability to print blue cards already filled in. You just need blue card stock (if you want to mimic the original).

Thanks everyone, for the support, suggestions and help. I think what we will do is ask each scout to create the necessary cards for himself. Then we will collect them all and use our stamper to add the scoutmaster’s signature. It’s still a big waste of time and money because in the end I will just enter these all into scoutbook and throw away the cards. But at least I don’t have to pre-enter every one in SB also.
