I seen that email but we do not use anything from Google except the calendar link so folks can imbed it into their own calendars. I just want it to auto update.
@DonaldHohman - then I would suspect that you have an incorrect URL listed in the subscribe to other calendars by URL. They have to subscribe to the url listed in scoutbook in the calendar section.
Improper url subscribed = no update
Copied and pasted.
If I remove it and add it back in it works. This time I checked “make public” so hopefully that may let it update, not sure.

@DonaldHohman - my pleasure and you can know for sure if you add a test event.
After all that it is still not updated. I removed a event when we talked Stephen and it is not been removed on the troop website calendar. It is gone in Scoutbook.
the ics only updates once a day - and I do not know what time
@BenjaminWard - I recall we talked around 5pm or so. What date was the event as I will check on my end on your troop site.

@BenjaminWard - we talked at 5:47pm yesterday but I am not certain if that was the time that the event was deleted from the scoutbook calendar. I did however add at test event for the troop for Thursday this week. I am curious as well to see if it shows up for the both of us. Now I will note that all of your events show the correct URL… so that is a plus. Now I would aslo ask if when you or the webmaster edit the site do you see the tools on the left hand side and if you click in an open space on a page do you get an edit wheel ?
I will give this until Tuesday to see if your event is gone and my test event shows.
@BenjaminWard - your April 10 event is gone and the hike remains. I am awaiting my test event.
One thing to keep in mind is the ics subscriptions are a pull action by the receiving calendar. There is no action on the part of the sending calendar.
UPDATE - my test event posted as of 9:48a will delete it and see when that hits.
