There seems to be a bug on Scoutbook Plus where advancement completion dates cannot be selected for the past two weeks. It is currently March 11th, but the last selectable date is February 26th. Is there a way to correct this from our end or is this a bug that needs to be addressed on the backend?
You are looking at February not March. Even so in Feb calendar you can click todays date and it works. @MichaelRohner
now why yours ends on the 26th? That seems like a computer issue? I cannot even guess. Try an Incognito window if what I suggested does not work.
@MichaelRohner- is your system date/time correct ?
It’s not giving me any option to select any March dates when the calendar is adjusted to March either. While I appreciate the input on attempting to correct it using Incognito Mode, this is definitely an issue on the Scoutbook Plus side as it can be reproduced across multiple computers and also on my phone which means it’s not related to the browser cache or the local date on the device (all of which show 3/11/2026).
With a little more digging, I found that this only appears to affect Eagle Scout Requirements. The date matches the date of the removal of the Citizenship in Society Merit Badge. Requirements in all of the other ranks appear to be working properly.
Eagle Scout Requirement:
@MichaelRohner- I do see that same issue on eagle rank requirements.
Hmm that might be a drop date date for the old eagle before the new no CIS is put out? let me see
Yeah - simple fix is roll Eagle to the now current 2026 version - if the Scout needs the CIS MB for the 21st elective you would need to wait
What is SUPPOSED to happen - once a scout has earned (Approved) Cit Society - then the Eagle 2022 becomes functional for the Scout - that seems to be broken here but it is being worked on
Eagle Rank - A New version of Eagle Rank is now available without the CIS Merit Badge as Eagle Required
- If a Scout has earned CIS and still wants it to be used for an Elective Merit Badge they can switch to the 2022 version of the Eagle Rank. In order for this to happen, CIS has to first be complete and earned. Also if on the 2026 version, the only way to switch a scout to the 2022 version is to click on the requirement note on Requirement #3 of the Eagle Rank.
- A New Fillable 2026 Eagle Application will be coming soon to the Scoutbook Platform.
Bold is update with more clarification once fix is made to requirement dates.
All four of the Life Scouts in the Troop working toward the Eagle Rank have earned the Citizenship in Society merit badge. They are still on the 2022 version of the Eagle Rank requirements. All are following the bolded guidelines. I hope this can be corrected quickly so we can continue to honor the rule that Scouts are able to complete a Rank using the requirements they started with even if a change occurs later. I also have at least 12 other scouts in the Troop who have earned the Citizenship in Society merit badge, will they be able to use the 2022 Eagle Rank requirements? Will they need to be updated to use the 2026 version manually or will that occur automatically at some point in the future?
The image not displaying I am much less worried about compared to the rank working for scouts
@MichaelRohner that MB image also just seems to be cache. I saw it that way > went to roster > back to scout > Eagle > CIS was there
@DonovanMcNeil again, it’s not an issue with the cookies in my cache. This is something that can be verified using multiple devices, on multiple OSes, using multiple browsers, which is sufficient QA testing for most web based applications. The behavior has been observed on two different computer running Window 11, one using Chrome and one using Edge. It has also been test on Android OS using the Chrome browser. I had one of the scouts in my household test it on iOS as well. The lack of image for the Citizenship in Society merit badge listing is what appears on each of the different devices used for testing. This is also how it appears when using incognito mode.
The Developer Tools within Edge and Chrome both show an indicator that an “imgPlaceholder” is in use where the Citizenship in Society merit badge image should be used. This is usually a a reference used when there is missing image or a null pointer. Below is what appears for the space where the image is supposed to appear from within the developer tool.
< div class=“MeritBadgeButton-styles__imgPlaceholder___EjqEh”>n
This can easily be compared to the code used for the First Aid merit badge entry which references the correct code to display the image for the merit badge.
< img src=“https://d1kn0x9vzr5n76.cloudfront.net/images/meritbadges/51_100.png” class=“MeritBadgeButton-styles__img___q2GIa”>
Just as you are saying what you saw - I am saying what I saw - I saw the image fail - took the actions I said and the image was there
