Scoutbook Plus as main landing page for Cub Scouts

As we onboard new Cub Scout families this fall, I am thinking we can now just direct parents to Scoutbook Plus as a landing page for everything. There seems to be no need for parents to go through Scoutbook anymore since advancement and calendar are both accessed by redirect anyway. Is there anything I’m missing or wrong with this approach? (I am only asking about Cub Scouts, not Scouts BSA).

@ConstanceF I would say 85-90% for cubs is there - and alot of the other stuff is in national flux anyway so better they not see it. Only missing thing is connections to add a second parent really

Right, I was thinking about connections, messaging, some reports but I can still do that as admin anyway so I don’t think parents will miss anything - I am going to give this a try this fall.
Thanks

I would also NOT talk about the app - with new program it is not stable - just use the website

Ok. Good advice. Also I just noticed awards have not migrated yet. Many of those are summertime so maybe that will be straightened out by then or an admin/den leader can enter.

there are no summertime awards - they are all adventures - and the rest of the awards it is very unclear what actually still exist for cubs - those that do: Religious Knot, Recruiter, Translator, off top of my head - tons have been retired or pushed off to councils (like NOVA)

Payment logs are still in legacy scoutbook, if you use them.
