Scoutbook Plus bulk merit badge blue card print issues

There are a couple issues with the Scoutbook Plus bulk merit badge blue card printing feature:

  1. The “Print Blue Cards” dialog refers to “SKU #649857”, but the only bulk merit badge blue card template available in the online Scout Shop is “SKU: 661944” (“Merit Badge Application, 3ct.”, Scouting America Merit Badge Application Sheet, 3-Count | Scouting America ).
  2. In the “Print Blue Cards” dialog, when clicking the “Print Blue Card (n)” button with the ‘Print on plain 8.5" x 11" paper’ unchecked, the resulting PDF still prints out content that already exists in the purchased template. For example, the generated PDF includes the headings “APPLICANT’S RECORD” and “COUNCELOR’S RECORD”, both of which already exist in the template (among other text and graphics).

@MarkDezelon #2 - not sure I follow - if you click print on plain paper it IS supposed to print everything - that is printed on preprint card.

I see the issue… If I DO NOT have the print on plain paper checked I get the complete BC data including the pre-printed items as if it were the stock from scout shop

Yeah and I guess Supply group changed things again without telling anyone on the Blue card - that will be looked at

Search Amazon for Blue Card Stock. You can get 250 sheets of 80lb blue card stock for $19 which is $0.076 per sheet vs $0.39 per sheet for pre-printed cards. The color isn’t exact, but it doesn’t need to be.

Thank you! Should I keep this topic open, or have these issues been officially moved over to the Scoutbook Plus backlog?

Excellent idea! I may look into that, if only for cost savings. Gotta find a good paper cutter, too.

@MarkDezelon - our council has the “blue cards” on white stock..

@MarkDezelon it is reported to Devs.

I did a whole unit and took to a print shop to cut in mass. The singles are easier to cut
