Scoutbook Plus makes advancing Cub Scout Den more difficult than needed

In previous years, at the end of the year, we could go in and mark each scout completed for the entire rank in Scoutbook. This year, it’s redirecting us to Scoutbook Plus, where we need to go through each adventure and add it to the scout before we can advance the scout. Even with the “Quick entry” tab, this still means something like 6 adventures for each of 6 dens, and there’s no easy way to do all the adventures at once. Add to this the fact that scoutbook is fairly slow, and advancement for the pack, which was previously a half-hour or so process, is likely to take the better part of a DAY.

In Scout troops, this functionality still seems to exist for rank-up, but I’m worried it’s going to go away too. For things like this, the (unsupported) Feature Assistant has been invaluable, and I’m worried that we’re about to see a massive pain point here.

@JonathanWildstrom this is how National wants it for Cubs - as all Cub Rank Adventure are 100% adventures now, you mark the adventures and it all rolls through.

I get that it’s all adventures now, but the process to input it all is overly burdensome. Adding all the adventures to a single den is 8 PASSES through the bulk entry page, plus clicking every single scout to mark it as awarded, since there’s no mass way to do that either.

In Scoutbook for the Troop, we can just click “Percent completed” and it goes through. We have a report we can run where we can award in bulk. Neither of those seem to exist in scoutbook plus, which is the problem.

@JonathanWildstrom - well progress in the adventures should be recorded throughout the scouting season by the den leaders rather than a catch up at the end. Does the unit hand out the adventures as immediate recognition as they are designed to be ?
