I have a scout (#141348827) that has earned the Firem’n Chit award long ago but it will not allow me to put it in as completed. When I enter the date and hit “Save” it flickers then goes back like I didn’t do anything at all, and it does not show completed when I refresh the screen. I have attempted it on the scout’s profile, on a “Quick Entry” to try to bypass whatever the hang up is and I have even attempted to do all of this in an Incognito window. All have failed and do the exact same thing as stated above. There are no Errors being thrown or anything.
While understand there is no “full access” label, I have access to all of the permission in Scoutbook plus as the committee wanted me to have full access to be able to fix things as needed.
While i understand you are not having an issue, doesnt mean that I am not having an issue. This isnt a permissions issue as i have contacted our committee chair AND tested putting in another award (50 miler) for this same scout. CC confirms that i have the permissions and my “test” on the 50 miler worked, so it appears there is a bug in the Firem’n Chit award.
I know my way around Scoutbook Plus and am not ignorant and dont appreciate that you are being condescending. Obviously you arent having issues so please move along because i fear you are not being helpful at the moment.
Knowing if this is failing for all or working for some actually helps the design team determine the root cause and provide a fix.
Keep in mind, there is no such thing as Full Access in Scoutbook Plus. Everything is based on individual permissions and positions. The Key 3 have the most default permissions and should be able to do everything Scoutbook Plus permits. Other leaders have very limited permissions by default with additional permissions being added by the Key 3.
Please provide the completion date you are trying to enter for Firem’n Chit so I can give the developers all the information they need to investigate.
Again, if you read what i wrote, my permissions are wide open. My apologies for using the wrong terminology but please dont reiterate the ‘no full access’ and insult my intelligence. I have Troop Admin permissions. My permissions are wide open as per the Key 3 of our unit in regards to all things advancement. So can we get past what i accidentally mislabeled? I am not ignorant to Scoutbook Plus and how it works.
All of that to say, what is odd is i can put in requirements for any other award for this scout (and all of my scouts) BUT Firem’n Chit for THIS specific scout which tells me and its not a ME problem, but a Scoutbook Plus problem.
Troop admin is meaningless in Scoutbook Plus. It only applies to Legacy Scoutbook. The permission system in Scoutbook Plus is completely different from Legacy Scoutbook.
In order to find the root cause of the issue, the developers need the completion date you are trying to enter, as both Jennifer and I have asked for.
I am also having an issue with Firem’n Chit. I entered it, marked it approved – no problem. The problem is that it won’t change to Awarded status for one scout. Yes, I have permission to do this as I did it for other scouts on other awards and ranks and MBs. Just the firem’n chit seems to have a glitch.
