A Unit Leader reported 12 Scouts in their Troop have dropped to the “not eligible for advancement” at the bottom of his list in Scoutbook Plus. I don’t see any issues with each of these Scouts’ memberships in the system. What does this mean and how does he fix them? Scout Members: 140475284, 140821917, 136043133, 14541822, 140588607, 13498708, 140498412, 137348429, 137348449, 13990169, 136539071, 133582871
We will investigate but to report a bug we need the unit leader’s MID too.
And which list does he see this? Is it on Quick Entry?
If this is Quick Entry, we also need to know what Quick Entry he is seeing this on. If it is different for each Scout we need to know where he sees it for each Scout.
Basically, we have to be able to tell the developers exactly what they need to do to reproduce the error. It would be much easier if the unit leader posted here so we can ask questions directly.
The Leader’s MID is 1509237. I can see what this Unit Leader is experiencing because I am seeing the same thing for my Troop 1829 Scouts (I enter advancements for my Troop). In Scoutbook Plus under “Unit Quick Entry - Merit Badges” - I select a Merit Badge and under Advancement Information where you select a youth or “all” to update rank requirements, there is a list of Scouts. When you go to the bottom of the list, you see the heading “Not Eligible” and then a LIST of Scouts that are greyed out.
In your troop, have these Scouts marked Not Eligible earned the MB or started a different version from what you are trying to update?
These TEST Scouts are Not Eligible because they are working on the 2018 version and I selected the 2024 version
I understand what you are asking. The Leader told me that they have their Scouts use Blue Cards and he knows that they have not already earned these badges. BUT - let me reach out to him again and make sure that he is checking the proper version of the Merit Badge.
@HeatherDunton- that is why it is best to have the actual user engagement on the forums. It is easier that way
I agree with you, but this amazing member is 85 years old and I help him with most things technology! ![]()
How kind of you! It does make troubleshooting harder, but is kind of you to help them to keep helping others!
