Training Error: Incorrect Answer Key in Course SCO_3014 (Bullying Question)

There is an answer-key error in course SCO_3014 ([ BSA Learn Center ]( BSA Learn Center )). The question asks: ‘What is a common physical sign that a youth may be experiencing bullying?’ The system flags ‘Loud talking during group discussions’ as the correct answer. This contradicts standard Youth Protection / Safeguarding guidelines where withdrawal, quietness, or dropped interest are the recognized signs. All listed options are actually inverse to typical signs:

  • Increased interest in troop activities.
  • High energy during activities.
  • Sudden improvement in academic performance.
  • Loud talking during group discussions.

The team that supports the training systems does not take bug reports from the SUAC volunteers here. You will need to report your issue to your local council professional staff, who can then pass it along to the training folks at national via a MemberCare ticket submittal. There is unfortunately not a more direct path to get notifications to national about these types of issues.

OK, I misunderstood what this forum is for then, the URL is training.scouting.org so it seemed like it matched. Just trying to do the right thing. I’ll also ask them to add a feedback to the page as well, there is no way to submit a bug, I just had to ask Gemini and it sent me here.

Yeah, the goal is if there are simple things like screen zoom or browser incompatibilities, volunteers here can help steer folks to addressing them. However, for real “bugs”, those have to go in via the council.

Thanks for getting issues reported!

I sent an email to nationaltraining@scoutingaz.org hopefully that is correct.

Your guess is probably better than mine. I’m just a unit ASM in SDIC. I am more prone to make a phone call and ask the council staffer who picks up who to talk to. :^)
