Trouble recording a Merit Badge as a MBC

Hello fellow Scouters,
Just wondering how do and a Scout’s merit badge completion of a Merit Badge? As a MBC we need to have an Scoutbook Account. I even taught Camping and can’t record it. I would like some tips on what I may be doing wrong.

@Leland_R.Scott_Jr those instruction COULD work but the Unit has not assigned you to be an MBC in Scoutbook- if the unit does not use Scoutbook you can use this process to connect - How Merit Badge Counselors (MBCs) can Connect to Scouts for Merit Badges (SB) - Scoutbook Knowledge Base

Unfortunately I don’t belong to a unit/troop. I suppose that might be the problem. Thanks

You don’t need to be part of a unit or troop to be an MBC and use Scoutbook. If you have the Scout’s BSA Member ID and last name you can connect to the Scout using the instructions Donovan provided.
