I am unable to end a scouts term as den chief. they stopped being a den chief a couple months ago and i tried to end the position and kept getting errors
More details will be helpful. When you do what, on which screen, you get what error?
It’s also good to know if you’re trying to end it from the troop side or the pack side, and whether you’re working in SB+ or trying to do it in classic Scoutbook (which is no longer the correct place).
Also, if you provide the scout’s Scouting America member ID (no names, please!), the SUAC may be able to look into their account and see if there’s anything odd.
It might be balking because the scout was never connected to a pack (and therefore doesn’t have an “active den chief position”. One of the SUAC may be able to talk to the developers about that to see if that’s the issue.
Out of curiosity, have you had a similar situation before where the scout wasn’t ever connected to a pack, but you were able to break the connection? I’m mostly just curious as an additional data point, but if you’ve cleared a den chief POR in that situation on SB+ before, that might give the developers somewhere to look.
@KelsieBrawner Her SPL position is not approved. Try approving it, and then see if you can add an end date to the Den Chief position.

What did you do that got it to work? There should not be any case where you can’t end a position of responsibility.
@KelsieBrawner Now the Den Chief position is not approved.
I recommend approving it. Unapproved positions won’t show up on various reports or the Eagle Scout Application.
sorry that was a typo i meant now approved. I went into scoutbook legacy and was able to edit it from there and it showed up on scoutbook plus correctly.
