I am trying to register as an adult for my son’s BSA troop, however my scouting account is linked to his Cub Scout troop in a different council. I can not find a way to change councils and add his troop. Any ideas?

Want to register in Chief Seattle Council 609 Troop 422
@StevenMcKenzie1
Try using https://beascout.org to register. Each Council has their own Scouting America Member IDs so you will be assigned a new number.
Not all Councils accept online applications so if you can’t register at beascout, contact the new council for assistance.
yes, I have tried to, but it won’t let me select his troop and is pre-populated with his cub scout council
@StevenMcKenzie1- are you using his member id in this process.
You should search for troops by zip code and then click apply now under the troop? What happens after that?
Yes, I have tried that and yes the troop does do online registration
I fill out all the information and then it asks me to log in then won’t let me choose the new troop
@StevenMcKenzie1
I suggest you contact the new Council for assistance.
No I am not using his ID. He is associated with troop 422 which I am trying to register with
yes, I just did that and they sent me a link to fill out for a paper form. Hopefully that will work!
So, you saw the troop in beascout and clicked apply now?
Yes
Cheers,
Steve

@StevenMcKenzie1 Have you tried logging in to your my.Scouting account first, and then click on the link to apply as an adult?
