What's the 'Send SYT Email' button? (Membership Manager: Invitation)

In the Invitation section of Membership Manager on My.Scouting.org… When viewing a specific lead, there’s a "Send SYT Email button in the lower right. What does this button do? i couldn’t find any documentation and the training videos from 2020 do not show this button.

Please…

  • avoid using abbreviations
  • add a tooltip, so hovering your mouse over the button explains what it does
  • when button is clicked, inform user what will happen
  • update training materials and documentation to reflect current interface and features

SYT is Safeguarding Youth Training. It is the updated course that replaces Youth Protection Training.

You will need to work with your Council to have a ticket opened to provide your feedback to the my.scouting.org team.

Thanks. Still getting used to the new terminology!

But what does the button do? Why is it in the Invitation section?

I assume it sends a link to take the training. ???

Sometimes adults will apply before they have taken SYT (or their SYT is expired). The button is there so that you can send them an e-mail in those cases.
