I made a mistake for Member ID 135291163 and marked off his requirement for Life Requirement 2 and 4 as approved using quick entry. I was thinking he was another scout. He is currently a Star Scout.
I went to delete the completion date and I got this error.
Youth has not earned the previous rank and is ineligible for marking this requirement complete
I want to fix my mistake. Can you please help?

@EdwardKraay well 2, 4, 6 & 7 are all marked off . I can setup a screenshare to take a look if you want.
First guess is that it is same date as the Star BOR
Hi Donavan, Yes, all those need to be backed out, please. I was able to mark as unapproved. I was unable to remove the completion date.

@EdwardKraay I think I would first try moving the Star BOR (and therefore complete date) back one day to 10/9 - and see if that gets around the issue. If so then you can re-correct the Star date

Thanks, I did this and while working through it I unapproved his Star Rank. Then when I go to reapprove it says
"Error: Your positions and related permissions do not allow you to perform this action. "
He is my son, but I’m logged into my key 3 account.
I’m trying to reapprove because when I go to clear out the life stuff it says:
“Error: Youth has not earned the previous rank and is ineligible for marking this requirement complete.”
The thing is, I’m trying to remove the date, not add it.

Yeah an issue for parent leaders we saw in cubs in the last 7 days seems to have creep into troops now
See if a non-parent (of your scout) leader can solve it

Somehow now it appears he is approved, with Star BOR date of 10/9/2025.
Now when I go to Life > X out requirement 2 completion date > save I get an error message:
“Youth has not earned the previous rank and is ineligible for marking this requirement complete.”
He shows as having completed this requirement in my roster “Complete / Approved not Awarded”.
Maybe this takes some time?
I would have a non-parent leader try to clean it up

@EdwardKraay Try asking one of the troop’s Key 3 (Scoutmaster, Committee Chair, Chartered Org. Rep.), a Key 3 Delegate, or the Unit Advancement Chair.

Our other Key 3 (121333655) Committee Chair tried to remove those completions and received the same error. How am I supposed to correct this mistake?

Not sure when it will get fixed - but some API is doing something off - as scout just turned Star that at least gives us a 4 month window
