A new scout recently entered our pack. Upon attempting to move him in to a den, I received the error below. Data / database issue. I need help in resolving. I’m also happy to provide the scout’s BSA ID. Please advise.

@Mark-ChristianReid- it is best to not to post the names and other personal info on a public forum

I don’t know. I thought that this was a support forum that was gated by a login and, so, non-public. How should I connect with someone who can provide support?

Happy to delete if this is insecure, but I don’t know how to proceed with getting support.

@Mark-ChristianReid this is a known issue that is being investigated - watch the change log for updates

For most problems all we need is the Scouting America Member ID (no names) which can be safely posted in the forums. If the SUAC needs additional data that should not be on a public forum we will start a direct message thread.

Scout’s name and BSA ID are below. We are Pack 1714 in the Atlanta Area Council. He needs to be assigned to the Bears den, but I’ve gotten the error regardless of the den to which I try to assign him.

I emailed someone at our council building about the matter, and she noted that there was some information that looks like a problem in his profile. Incomplete or something. She resolved what she could yesterday, but the problem persists today.

Please advise.

@Mark-ChristianReid this is a known bug - A Fix we have not tried is this - have the parent login to scoutbook.scouting.org once - this should generate a UserID for them which should solve the issue

I’ll do. I’ll let you know.

I have fixed this father’s Scoutbook account. Because he is also registered in a different Council, the system switched the Member ID in Scoutbook. I have restored it to the proper number and requested all of his children be synced back to Scoutbook. They should be there after 4:00 PM Central.

@Mark-ChristianReid

Have the father check his address in Scoutbook once he logs in.
