2 ID # trying to merger

My Son was a cub scout, Boy scout, Eagle Scout, old Member #127780650 he is now wanting to be an adult leader and has registered as one New member #142221787 can we merger the accounts

We didn’t know how to make his old account into an adult one Central GA Council told us to create a new one.?

@SanfordDickey well merging old SB users does nothing as advancement does not show for adults.

there is no merging Member IDs - the user can log into my.scouting.org > Click Manage Member ID > one of the BSA # will be there marked PRIMARY > as long as the info is the same then add the other MID (BSA #) - you want to make the one that is your unit registration PRIMARY. If it fails SUAC can help as all the personal Info has to match. Another complication with this is the Parent relationship for registrations with is tied to Member ID - it is best to ask Council to also check that.

Member IDs are unique to councils, so if in a new council the new Member ID has to be used

So no benefit to using the old number he is going to do more stuff with the order of the arrow so i was not sure

OA has nothing to do with the Member ID.

If both his old and new numbers are in the same Council, I recommend contacting the Council registrar and moving the registration from the new number to the old so his records are all under one number. If these are different councils, then the new number is required as all Councils have unique numbers.
