A quick question

Do I imput new Scouts into scoutbook as I turn in applications or does someone else do it?

You can wait for your council to enter the applications, and they should show up in Scoutbook about 24-48 hours after you see them in the Member Manager at my.scouting.org.

You can also add the Scout to Scoutbook yourself. If you do, please make sure that the Scout’s full name and date of birth match exactly with the information on the application. This should help to reduce duplicate account creation.

Depends on how quickly your council processes applications. If you enter the info right away, then communication through Scoutbook can happen immediately. If your council is quick, then a few days probably does not make a difference. But if they take four weeks, then it becomes a big deal.
