I am trying to enter the adventures that my den has completed and I keep getting the error that I do not have access. This started 11/4/25. this is the first time I have had this issue.

Hello Donovan - Same issue here; I’m a Webelos Den Leader (w/Den Admin rights), Troop Advancement Chair (w/Troop Admin rights), and a sole designated survivor of a ghost/inactive Pack (listed as a Den Leader w/o any registered scouts). When I go to Scoutbook Plus, I get “No Scoutbook Plus Access…don’t have right scouting role…only youth, parents, key 3…” and I can’t get in. Somehow I can Mcgyver my way from legacy Scoutbook via roster, quick entry, etc., but as soon as I go to switch roles in Scoutbook Plus, I immediately get booted to the “no access” notification page.
I read the "Major Change Information” above and its not crystal clear what is needs to happen. Pack meeting and Troop COH in less than 2 weeks. I welcome any advice or guidance you may be able to provide.
Legacy Scoutbook admin roles do not apply in Scoutbook Plus. If you want the equivalent of what you had in legacy Scoutbook, a Key 3 members should log in, go to Permissions Manager and give you the Unit Support role.

edavignon - Appreciate the quick reply. Did the recent change from using connections require all units to re-establish roles for anyone not key 3 including parents? If I hear you correctly, if I get a key 3 from each of the 2 active units (…not sure about the ghost/stagnant pack…) I should be able to get access to SB+ again? It seems like something else is wrong that I am a parent to kids in both units and still got the access error.
Parents access should not have changed, however, you would need your parent role selected in the upper right corner.
If the ghost/stagnant pack does not have active Key 3, contact your council for assistance. They should be able to change your registered position to a Key 3 or make you a Key 3 Delegate so you do get access.
Rgr. I am connecting the dots now. When I traverse from SB legacy as a parent role and sign into SB+, I can sometimes bypass the access denial error, but when I do so as any leader role, I get denied access. Interesting. Looks like I’ll be pinging my units’ Key 3’s. Appreciated the help! Thanks for volunteering on SB help.
