Activity Logs Missing People in Dropdown Box

Hi, I have had no problems adding people to the Activity Logs until now. No one is showing in my dropdown box to add like before. Is there something I am missing somewhere? I have tried to log out and back in, tried different browsers on phone and laptop but I guess something has happened with my account.

@AmyMusser- what is your registered position and/or functional role in the unit ? It may be related to this:
A major focus of the migration to Scoutbook Plus is to have positions mirror the positions shown in My.Scouting to ensure positions were reflected accurately in both platforms. The main purpose it to honor the guidance of our charter organizations and the positions they approve. Therefore, Scoutbook Plus does not use Legacy Scoutbook positions. Registered positions are used to provide base permissions. Some additional permissions can be added by the unit, however, there are restrictions on what can be given. See Scoutbook_Permissions.pdf and the Scoutbook Plus permissions video for more details.

There is a Bug with Activities - using can get into them that do not have permission - and then the people dropdown is blank - it is being fixed - have Key 3 check your permissions.

According to My.Scouting.Org, my functional positions for the Troop are listed as Unit Advancements Chair and Committee Member. I was also listed as a Troop Admin but that one has disappeared for whatever reason.

Is there a specific permission I need to ask for other than Unit Advancements Chair and/or Committee Member? Our Key 3 are not quite as Scoutbook forward as me because I am the one that uses it regularly so they will be asking for specific things to add or change.

@AmyMusser

I am having the same issue as Unit Advancement Chair. I can add the activity but when I go to add person it says NO DATA instead of having the dropdown roster which has always been there in the past.

@MarleenGracom- thisvis either a cache issue where a hard refresh will present data or a permission issue for your key 3 to work on.

I just did a google chrome update and cleared the cache. It still shows no data when I click on the add person. What do you mean by a hard refresh? I have permissions from the key 3 as well as shown below:

This is a vital piece of advancement so any suggestions you can provide is greatly appreciated.

THank you,

@MarleenGracom

How to do a hard refresh in any browser
A hard refresh clears your browser cache for a specific page, which forces it to load the most recent version of that page. This could include new scripts, styles or features.

Important: Clicking the “Refresh” arrow on your browser address bar is not a hard refresh. Here’s how you can clear your cache through a hard refresh on any browser:

Google Chrome
Windows users: hold down Ctrl and then press F5 on your keyboard
Mac users: hold down Cmd and Shift and then press R on your keyboard

Firefox
For Windows users: hold down Ctrl and then press F5 on your keyboard
Mac users: hold down ? Cmd and ? Shift and then press R on your keyboard

Safari (Mac)
Go to Safari > Empty Cache, or hit Opt + Cmd + E
To refresh, click the refresh button on the address bar or press Cmd + R

Internet Explorer/Microsoft Edge (Windows)
Hold down Ctrl and then press F5 on your keyboard

I completed the hard refresh and that didn’t change anything. I even tried adding people to the event on my phone and when I click add person it is blank. There is no roster to select from. I even opened and used Edge instead of Chrome and the same issue occurred.

Any feedback or things to try would be greatly appreciated,

@MarleenGracom The permissions structure changed recently. What permissions do you have other than Unit Advancement Chair?

There is a BUG that lets users get into Activity Edit who do not have the rights to - but then they get the blank list

Can we see the detailed permissions we have from our account? I can’t seem to find them listed anywhere. I can see the positions I am registered for and the functional positions I have but I can’t click on them to see any detailed permissions or anything.

@AmyMusser a static permission list for users is under development - Key 3 can see them right now

I’m also having this specific issue as advancement chair. I’m also struggling with calendar access. Hard refresh outlined above did not fix the issue. It seems there was a widespread change we were not aware of. Key 3 will check the permissions.

@AmyCook3 Advancement chair does not have calendar or activity editor permissions by default. They need to be added by your key 3
