Hi. All scouts are initially connected to the adult that was on their initial application in Scoutbook. I would like to add their other parent,but I cannot seem to add them like I could last year. Has this function been removed?
There is a known issue with search in Scoutbook. You can go to My Dashboard → Administration → My Account → My Connections then click the link at the top that says " Connect to your Scout as Parent/Guardian."
You will need your Scout’s BSA Member ID, last name and date of birth to connect.
If this fails, your Council can add you as the 2nd parent in Akela by using Registrar Tools. 24 to 48 hours later you will be connected in Scoutbook.

Tomorrow night, I was going to lead our cub parents in a live session of adding the second parent.
I see the steps above, but does this assume that the 2nd parent created a Scoutbook account and then logged in with that? Then they do the steps above?
Yes, a Scoutbook account is needed. The steps above must be done from the account of the parent being added.
To create a Scoutbok account, one only needs to have a my.scouting.org account then log in to Scoutbook.
