Adding MBC to multiple scouts?

My troop attended a Camporee this past weekend, which resulted in the completion of many of the requirements for the Camping MB. The official MBC for the weekend has said he would update each scout’s completions from his records, but he needs to be added as MBC for each.

I was surprised that I could not find a search bar in the “select MBC” page - instead, I had to wade through a long list of counselors (and ironically, still cannot find this adult, who I am sure is properly registered.)

So questions to the group:

  1. What is the easiest way to “find” an MBC when you already know who you want?
  2. Can I, as SM, assign multiple scouts to an MBC, or do I need to go through this process 8 times for my 8 scouts in attendance?
  3. MBC assignment aside, can I quick entry the “start a MB and sign blue card” steps?

Thanks in advance for the wisdom of this dedicated and knowledgeable crowd. I was once very adept at SB, but stepped back for a minute and it seems like I missed a change from landlines to 5G!

Use Legacy Scoutbook and the Scoutbook Feature Assistant for Chrome and Firefox. Go to Quick Entry → Start Merit Badge

If you set the zip code to the MBC’s zip code, he should appear near the top of the search
