Hello. I am tring to add a scouting position I had as a committee member from a troop in 2010. I didn’t know how that worked or I might have accidentally cleared it when I discovered I had two accounts and we cleared one (might have merged it has been a few years) I got my old account number and added it to my profile. Then I tried to add to My Scouting Positons on Scoutbook, but it wouldn’t recognize the Troop Number.
Am I able to add this or am I out of luck? (it is what it is) I have my old number and a copy of my Committee membership from back then. Just learning how to do a lot of this (Including posting here)

Scoutbook is not for adding History like that @LisaIrish. It just generates itself moving forward.

Ok I was able to add my very first part as committee. Why did it allow me to do that? Just not the one from ten years ago (I mean it wouldn’t recognize the Troop) and thank you for your response. I keep trying to figure things out on my own. This was a tough one
@LisaIrish - is that troop still in existence and was it in the council you are in?

Hello, I guess that would be a good question. Maybe it isn’t anymore. Let me ask the woman it used to be on the military base for Twentynine Palms California. I am in a totally different Council and Maine now. That could be the reason the Troop doesn’t show up anymore.

I found out it is still in existance (thank goodness)
@LisaIrish - that is good news, but since you are in a different council it will only locate existing units in that council.
