Scout accidently removed from troop

We had a Scout who was accidentally shown as no longer being in the Troop when trying to remove him from a patrol. We can’t find him in Scoutbook to add him back to the troop. How can I find him and add him back? We are in contact with his mother, and she isn’t able to see anything when she logs in to the account she managed for him.

@GregoryFoote

Post the Scout’s Scouting America Member ID (no names) and we will investigate.

133288917 Will this help you?

@GregoryFoote

I requested a position sync. Check back after 4:00 PM Central today. If he is not in the troop in Scoutbook then, he will be tomorrow morning.

Thank you. Will that also restore with all his rank and participation history?

All of his data will be there.

Be aware only the father is connected to the Scout in Akela, the person database but he does not have a my.scouting.org ID. The mother has a my.scouting.org ID but is not connected in Akela. Your Council can use the relationships tab of Registrar Tools to connect the mother (MID 12644454) to the Scout.

Thank you, I will work with them to get them both correctly linked.

I am having the same issue. I have a scout that just aged out and was put into scoutbook as a leader. He was listed as asst. scout master . I tried to change it to unit scout college reserve but he disappeared from scout book. I tried to add him back in but when I put his name and scout number it says could not find him. any chance you can get him added back in? 131487163

@JodyLegere

Your Charter Org Rep can change the Scout’s position from ASM to UCSR by logging in to my.scouting.org navigating to the Position Manager tab of the Roster page. This can only be done by the Charter Org Rep or Charter Org Rep delegate.

I have requested a position sync to restore the ASM position of the individual to Scoutbook. Check back tomorrow morning to verify he has been put back on the Scoutbook roster.

Hello. I seem to be having the same issue. Immediate issue is Scouts show in SB Plus but in Legacy only show as “First Name, Last Initial”. Can they be relinked? Affected Scouts are #s: 13868167, 140373077, and 13974094.

Second issue is trying to correct Scouts being doubled. I assigned Scouts into patrols using SB Plus which did replicate into Legacy. Please confirm the proper method to keep them from being shown as “Not in a Patrol” at the same time. Thanks.

@PaulDuenas - are you in a pilot troop for SB+ ?

@PaulDuenas on Issue one - that is a connection issue. Do these steps. In Legacy > go to Unit Roster > find your Name > click admin > click Update.

If you give scout Member numbers as examples of doubles we can take a look

Same for scout: 136632465. Thanks!

@JohnParker5 this scout is no longer registered - a Key 3 can go to my.scouting.org and look at official roster. This will probably take a new application - talk to council

Good evening, I have a scout who shows on my roster in my.scouting.org as registered and active but not showing in scoutbook. Member #140991571. Thank you for your help!

@Mary_JoBrunner that is setup for a 24 hour sync - check in the morning

Hello @donovanMcNeil & @edavignon ,

I am having a similar problem. My son was in troop 127, then switched to 0485. We accidentally let his account expire, so it went down. We renewed it in April, and all was good until June, when his account went down again. I contacted the council, and they put him back up. But now he is back in the old troop (127), I have been going crazy for weeks back and forth with the new troop and council to fix it in the scout book, but we cannot figure it out. In some cases (in scoutting.org), he shows as 485 and in other tabs as 127, but never in the scout book. Can you help us, please?

@MarisaPike I have ended the Scout’s membership in Troop 127 and requested a position sync.

Please check Scoutbook (legacy) tomorrow to see if the Scout is in Troop 485.

Hello @JenniferOlinger Thank you for reaching out to help.

I checked Scoutbook, and he is not in either now.
