Welcome! This forum has a treasure trove of great info – Scouters helping Scouters! Just a heads up, though - all content, information, and opinions shared on this forum are those of the author, not the BSA.
My two sons crossed over a year ago from Cub Scouts to Scouts BSA. I would like to set them up with access to their own scoutbook accounts, but can’t find a way to do it on Scoutbook+. The old way I did it with my older two sons in Scoutbook is no longer available.
Does anyone know how I can setup my sons with access to their Scoutbook accounts?
When creating their account, you should get a Records Match prompt to match them with their already existing member ID number. If the system doesn’t find a match, then most likely the name or the date of birth do not match exactly, and you will need to contact your local council for assistance.
Note that they won’t appear in the Messaging feature in classic Scoutbook until they’ve used those credentials to log in. It might take overnight for their credentials to sync across the platforms to permit login.
