Adding Youth Emails in Scoutbook Plus does not replicate to Scoutbook Legacy

I’ve added my son’s email to his scoutbook plus profile because that’s where the scoutbook link takes you however even after waiting 24 hours that email doesn’t seem to have synced to scoutbook where the only message capability is right now. Is there another way to set the email in scoutbok legacy or is this a bug? We really need this to work for our troop communication as we’re trying to move off a paid platform currently.

@RanallJones

Your son’s e-mail address is in the Scoutbook database. The reason you do not see him in the Scout section Messages is that he has never logged in to Scoutbook. Logging in one time is what triggers the ability to send a Scout messages.

Your Scout will need a my.scouting.org ID to log in to Scoutbook.
How to Make a my.scouting.org Account for You or a Scout - Scoutbook Knowledge Base

It didn’t find the youth and created a new account and now won’t merge the old 133562986 into 141745625. Can any help be given?

Give me a few minutes

@RanallJones

This is fixed. I suspect the 2nd MID was created because his original used his middle name and the new used his middle initial.

His Scoutbook accounts have been merged and his registered MID made primary on his my.scouting.org account.

MIDs cannot be merged. He should NEVER use the MID that starts with 141.
