Advancement Chair and Key 3 delegate cannot see all scouts in Roster

I am an Advancement Chair and a Key 3 delegate for our boy’s troop. In Scoutbook plus, when I click on Roster, I cannot see 5 of my scouts nor the patrol they are assigned to.I can see them in Scoutbook Legacy. Our Council registrar logged in as me and she can see them. So I cannot enter any advancement. One of my scouts is a dual register with a troop from another council.

@MichaelHageman first thing to do is go to SB+ Roster > Filter > No matter what CLICK Reset Filter

Something so simple but I thought I had tried that..

I can see the scouts now except for one that i have that is Dual registered between Dan Beard and Crossroads of America Council. Crossroads is the primary. We’re trying to work that out so that I can at least see his advancement which I could before the move to SB+

@MichaelHageman There is no Primary -

yeah see right now - it is one BSA # per SB User. So there are 2 ways to handle it.
We can have 2 SB Users made for the Scout - BUT advancement will not match between the 2 - but then each unit would have the scout in Scoutbook as long as they are registered in the unit. The scout would just need to monitor that advancement is entered into the correct account or the units can work together to make sure advancement matches.
Or the Scout can have one user, and the Member ID # is just changed between the 2 MIDs - this is messier and needs more interventions.

Post the BSA # (no names) of the youth and we can look - usually making 2 SB Users is the way to go

Crossroads
137110088

There is a Dan Beard number but I don’t seem to be able to get to it.
The issue is that if I enter anything through Troop 107, Troop 306 shows he has opted out

@MichaelHageman the simple issue is - only one unit can record advancements per SB user. It should be fine for your unit - now the dan beard user does not have any advancements so that might confuse Scout - Advancement is Just isolated to Member IDs.

@MichaelHageman Here is a way that you can see the Scout’s advancement in the other council:

In Scoutbook Plus:

  1. Go to Reports
  2. In the Advancement section, click on Scouts BSA History Report By MemberID → View
  3. Enter the Scout’s last name and member ID number.

Weve basically decided that Troop 306 (Crossroads) will do all entry for this scout for that reason but it would be goodfor the Dan Beard leaders tobe able to see where he is at. I can see him in 306 because I am listed as a Parent/Guardian.

Then the Dan Beard would need to enter in the advancements to match - it does not sync

The Dan Beard troop leaders can see where he is at by running the Scouts BSA History Report. They just need the Scout’s Crossroads of America Council member ID number and correct spelling of last name.
